Page title
[edit]Why is the title used here "Socrates in Love"? ( a play on Shakesheare in Love? -.-) Surely, since this title is only used in the US, the original title " Crying Out Love, In The Center Of the World" is used much more frequently and should have priority over a US-Only title. I'm moving this unless someone objects. Ondog 09:07, 18 January 2006 (UTC)
- Since the author did not intend to call it the title it has now in Japan and most other countries, when Viz published the novel and manga here in the U.S., they used the title "Socrates in Love" which was a translation of the title the author had planned on calling it, which was 恋するソクラテス (Koi suru Sokuratesu). So that is why the SekaChuu novel and manga are called that in the U.S. Doinkies 23:05, 18 January 2006 (UTC)
- I objected :) So far the only English version of anything to use the "Crying" title is the Hong Kong English version of the movie. BTW, VIZ Media's works are also available in Canada. WhisperToMe 03:53, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
I don't understand alot of this page, particularly the "Estimation" section. Also, I get the feeling it was written by someone who generally doesnt like the genre as a whole, which I feel is counter-productive to general understanding.
Why was the book originally supposed to be called Socrates in Love, and how or why did the name get changed to its more famous title, Crying Out Love, at the Heart of the World? --70.143.32.196 00:55, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
Response (...?)
[edit]This entire section, to me, reads quite one-sided and uses some unverified claims. It's already marked as "disputed neutrality" and viably so, but maybe it could be reworded (substantially) to be less opinionated? This is really the only section I noticed any flaw in whatsoever. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.28.244.167 (talk) 20:26, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
