[edit]Can some one improve this page for me? although I created, I dont have much experience.

[edit]Looking at the sites linked in the reference, most seem not to be about "virtual" investment at all but using social networking to evolve strategies for real investments. On the other hand, Googling "social investment website" does not suggest that this is a well-used phrase, as it usually seems to be about a company's website about its "social investment", as here. So I'm not sure this subject, with this article name, merits an article yet. PamD (talk) 22:15, 8 February 2009 (UTC)
- I'm not sure what the reference to "virtual" investment means but..."Social investing websites" are indeed web sites that act as social networks where investors can interact to share investing ideas. Although the term "Social investing websites" is not a very popular term, it is indeed the most commonly-used term to refer to this activity. It is often confused with "socially responsible investing" (SRI) (which Wikipedia talks about here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socially_responsible_investing) which refers to investing money in a socially responsible way. - Anonymous (I am not a Wikipedia editor - just someone who wanted to add some clarification) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.25.46.175 (talk) 15:50, 10 October 2011 (UTC)
- Also, instead of this article being titled "Social investment websites", it should be called "social investing websites" because it is the activity (i.e. investing) that is social, and not the actual investments themselves.
