Roger Waters
[edit]Roger Waters beginning to show his writing talents, song is upbeat and tells the story only like Waters can.Nice piano playing by Rick Wright and David Gilmour's guitar is precise as always ,backed up by one of the best drummers around.Like all Pink Floyd tunes, San Tropez takes you on a mind trip....
I really enjoy this tune also but I don't think our love of it needs to be added to the main page. :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.75.197.183 (talk) 05:15, 15 September 2008 (UTC)

San Tropez (song) → San Tropez – Please put your reason for moving here. The Evil IP address (talk) 15:51, 18 May 2013 (UTC) The town is actually called "Saint-Tropez", and since there's nothing else called "San Tropez", this calls for a {{for}}. --The Evil IP address (talk) 15:51, 18 May 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose - since San Tropez is the Spanish name (Occitan is Sant Tropetz) there are enough references in old texts to "San Tropez" (John Duncan Craig Miejour; or, Provençal legend, life, language, and literature 1877 p69 "To one side, in wondrous curves of beauty, extended the Gulf of San Juan, guarded by the serrated Esterelles ; and behind their blue crests, trended out in bolder yet fainter sweep the mountains in whose shadows the feluccas of San Tropez") "Bay of San Tropez" for the fourth track on a 1971 album not to be the subject and for San Tropez to continue to redirect to the Occitan town. In ictu oculi (talk) 21:52, 18 May 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose the French town is primary for "San Tropez" -- 65.94.76.126 (talk) 07:13, 19 May 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose. For all the reasons already stated, An alternative spelling of the town is still more important than the fourth track from a album - irrespective of who the artist is! (Song) tells what we are likely to find in the article! --Richhoncho (talk) 07:41, 19 May 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose for reasons already stated, although it seems to me that Saint-Tropez ought to have a hatnote {{Redirect}} regarding San Tropez and San Tropez (song). -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 12:20, 19 May 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose but support hatnotes per Michael Bednarek Mcewan (talk) 00:13, 20 May 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose as too easily confused. "San Tropez" is a plausible typo for the town. Relying on a hyphen to disambiguate seems rather foolhardy to me. -- Ohc ¡digame!¿que pasa? 09:56, 20 May 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose; but a hatnote would be helpful, per Michael Bednarek. bobrayner (talk) 20:08, 20 May 2013 (UTC)
