Initial review feedback
[edit]Hi Claire! Thank you for creating this article on the Pinaglabanan Church. The article is well written and is organized really good and the addition of an infobox and uses of inline citations is very good. Here are some more points to look at:
- The article says that Juan Arellano is the architect, but the 2 sources say that Luis Arellano is the architect. Is this the same person? If not, then please correct it. (It seems Luis is the father of Juan?)
- The architects for the bell tower are stated to be Renato Berroya and Arsenio Topacio. But this is not in the cited sources.
- The "Liturgical Services" section is not considered encyclopedic information. This is an excellent addition to Wikivoyage (the travel guide sister project) but not in Wikipedia. Please see WP:NOT for more information.
- As for the title of the article, what is the more common name (see WP:COMMONNAME)? Is it Pinaglabanan Church or St. John the Baptist Parish? if it is the latter, we can add a minimal disambiguation to the title such as St. John the Baptist Parish, San Juan to distinguish this article title from other articles. Please see WP:DAB for more information.
- For the "External links" section, we only link websites directly related to the article's subject. So the link to the San Juan City website is not necessary.
- Do you have sources for the architectural details of the church building such as what style the building is designed?
All in all, this is a very good article and is certainly not a WP:STUB. Good work! —seav (talk) 23:19, 6 May 2014 (UTC)
Thank you seav for your feedback! I really need it at this stage as I am starting out. I made certain corrections on the article as I went through the points you've raised and saw my errors. I made additional online browsing on the architecture of the church. I've found a site, such as [[1]] although I'm not sure if I should include this because for one, it is a thesis, and two, it really did not specify the architecture of the church. Also with the belfry's architects, I only found it in this site as a photo support - [[2]] - but will Wikipedia accept the source? - ClaireMRA (talk) 8:17, 7 May 2014 (UTC)
