the infos about peugeot 305 are uncorrect, Since the car had many more engines and the range is wrong. It was engineered in order to replace the 404, infact its maquette was presented to public with name of 405

Pininfarina's homepage does not mention a thing about Peugeot 305 beeing a Pininfarina design. -- Piisamson 19:31, 11 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

--Estate suspension--

It didn´t use torsion bars at all. The rear trailing arms also acted as a bellcrank and acted on a strut which lay horizontally under the boot floor. It did give a large unobstructed boot space, but also put a huge strain on the pivot bearings of the trailing arms. At higher mileages this would lead to increased negative camber. 5 Gear version

[edit]

I used to know someone with a 5-gear version, badged as 305 S5. I believe it had a 1.6 engine. The article makes no mention of either. 78.86.18.55 (talk) 00:29, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

XID diesel engine

[edit]

The series one was also available with a 1548cc diesel engine which had engine code XID This was an all alloy engine with steel wet liners. It had a four speed transmission in the sump. I used to own one and I still have the factory maintenance manuals for it. Dieselnutjob (talk) 13:49, 14 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
