Contested deletion

[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because Munawar Faruqui is a notable figure in Indian comic space, especially after failed imprisonment for alleged blasphemy and his case has set judiciary precedants https://thewire.in/rights/munawar-faruqui-arrest-bail-pudr --AppuSunkad (talk) 14:59, 4 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Suspected sock puppet activity

[edit]

The statement 'His family moved to Mumbai after his home was destroyed during the 2002 communal riots of Gujarat and his mother died soon after, when he was only 16 year old.' is not supported by any of the citations. Home not destroyed, no reference to Gujarat riots except his jokes. Propose revision as per this reference [1] "At the age of 16, Faruqqi moved to Mumbai as his father struggled in his hometown in Junagadh." Amitized (talk) 10:00, 19 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The reference supporting that statement is the ThePrint reference that immediately follows it: "But Faruqui has also lived through considerable hardship — his home was destroyed during the 2002 communal riots in Gujarat and his mother died, unexpectedly, soon after he moved to Mumbai with her."[2] Storchy (talk) 11:31, 19 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Music Videos

[edit]

Besides his discography, munawar was also featured in 2 music videos (halki se barsat, ik tu he) and has collaborated with many singers as well (prince narula in TODH, Kshmr in MAULA and many more) Those should also be mentioned in his Wikipedia page 101.53.234.192 (talk) 12:35, 12 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Link to Junagadh article

[edit]

The article would benefit from a hyperlink to the Wikipedia article on Junagadh, Faruqui's birthplace.

I could not add it because the article is protected from editing. 193.240.181.226 (talk) 12:11, 1 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Breakup

[edit]

Nazila didn't use the word 'cheated'. She came live and said, he was involved with multiple women.

The word 'breakup'. Munawar's words should be taken into account that he had already broken up with Nazila. Neither did Nazila use the term 'breakup'. She said she wants nothing to do with him. 117.200.103.138 (talk) 21:33, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
