[edit]To whom it may concern,
We are getting it together, but by removing certain aspect of this artist life is being untrue to his legacy. Before making a opinion about what is true or not, please ask, so we can provide what is required. Go watch the documentary. enjoy, and thank you for your help. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sterling evans (talk • contribs) 21:38, 18 May 2009
- The edits have nothing to do with what is true or not and were specifically intended to improve the content and the format of the article. Not everything about someone is appropriate or needs to be included in a biographical article in Wikipedia. If there are items you feel should be added be in, I suggest you do so judiciously and not by recopying the entire article back to the page - you are probably not aware of this, but this type of bulk reseting of good faith edits can be considered as vandalism and can get you banned from editing or creating articles, so please be careful.
- I have also left you a welcome in your talk page. I suggest you read the topics associated with creating your first article for more information. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Thanks... ttonyb1 (talk) 06:19, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
- Wikipedia isn't about being "true to his legacy" or watching a documentary—it's about what can be found in neutral third-party verifiable reliable sources. I tried to find sources yesterday and was able to find one (which I added). Along with the links that ttonyb1 gave you, I recommend checking out Wikipedia's best practices for editors with conflicts of interest. Dori ❦ (Talk ❖ Contribs ❖ Review) ❦ 20:55, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
removing POV tag with no active discussion per Template:POV
[edit]I've removed an old neutrality tag from this page that appears to have no active discussion per the instructions at Template:POV:
- This template is not meant to be a permanent resident on any article. Remove this template whenever:
- There is consensus on the talkpage or the NPOV Noticeboard that the issue has been resolved
- It is not clear what the neutrality issue is, and no satisfactory explanation has been given
- In the absence of any discussion, or if the discussion has become dormant.
- This template is not meant to be a permanent resident on any article. Remove this template whenever:
Since there's no evidence of ongoing discussion, I'm removing the tag for now. If discussion is continuing and I've failed to see it, however, please feel free to restore the template and continue to address the issues. Thanks to everybody working on this one! -- Khazar2 (talk) 01:05, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
