Article improvement

[edit]

I've been working on the article to provide in-line citations, write with more of an encyclopedic tone, eliminate direct copies of sentences, and try to reduce copy vio / close paraphrasing issues. I've been using this copy vio report, which percentage was in the 80s - now is 58.8% and downgraded to "possible violation".

I am posting a message here so that anyone who is watching better understands what's going on.... and if anyone wants to pitch in to scrub it even more - add more inline citations where they're missing, that would be wonderful!--CaroleHenson (talk) 07:34, 21 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Down to 54% now. This is another report that is helpful: the duplicate detector report that focuses on a specific web page at a time. Most of what's on this report is names of people, titles, or places. The copyvio report picks up close paraphrasing issues that the duplicate detector report doesn't pick up. The wording to fix copyvio might have made it a bit choppy, so that's something, too.--CaroleHenson (talk) 07:51, 21 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
