  • Vladimir Ionesyan - known as the "Ubijtsa iz Mosgaza" ("The Killer from Moscow Gas Company", as he pretented to be a worker of this company) killed 5 people and robbed their apartments in Moscow and Ivanovo (1963-1964). Sentenced to death.

State-sanctioned serial killers?

Is there an exception for serial killing done by people who are sanctioned by the state? It seems there have been some of those in history, and in Russian SSR history during the Soviet period.

Not seeing anything in the article that explicates why they would be absent from the list. So thinking it would be good to open a discussion on whether such people, when sourced, would or would not be "in scope" for the article. Cheers. N2e (talk) 03:50, 7 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
