Criticism section

[edit]

The criticism section of this entry is atrocious. It consists of listing the times that Melton has been called the derisive pejorative, "cult apologist," without actually going into any of the substantive criticisms. Is it really notable that a lawyer from Singapore called him a cult apologist? It would be nice if the name calling were replaced with something of substance. The Kent, Krebs article looks promising in that regard. Otherwise, the media criticisms could be condensed into one sentence.Griswaldo (talk) 11:30, 25 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have made a proposal that might help solve this problem, and similar ones as well. Please see Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Religion/New_religious_movements_work_group#Proposal. Cheers.Griswaldo (talk) 13:34, 25 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

CESNUR

[edit]

I notice that Melton is mentioned as a "key person" in the CESNUR article, but "CESNUR" isn't mentioned once in the J. Gordon Melton article. What's up with that? Grorp (talk) 01:37, 3 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
