[edit]When this is expanded, the short stories should be moved to their appropriate place in the chronology: I put them separate for now so as not to muck up the numbering. HTH HAND —Phil | Talk 13:30, 12 October 2005 (UTC)
Chart of Deaths
[edit]I put that chart in on all the murders and deaths in the In Death books (given the nature of the books, it's actually quite relevant and probably the most encyclopedic thing you can get out of them, other than ISBN numbers), but how am I supposed to put my sources in? The sources are the books themselves, of which there are many versions; plus, these aren't direct quotes, so I don't feel page #'s are necessary. Any suggestions are, of course, appreciated. - I do not know how to edit your chart. But the section on Conspiracy in Death is not complete. Jan, the nurse, is also killed (I think by Dr. Waverly or his android) with a blunt instrument to prevent her from revealing her participation in the conspiracy. Dr. Tia Wo is killed by Dr. Hans Vanderhaven with a barbituate injection to prevent her from talking. Dr. Friend was killed in the period before the book begins (by Dr. Waverly, I think) with barbituates in retaliation for his invention of artifical organs. And there were "organ donors" in France and Chicago who were not listed. JRSpriggs 08:57, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
- Right, did I ever screw up on the Conspiracy section. Missed Jan; I thought Dr. Wo didn't die (but I was wrong), and will list Dr. Friend. However, I'm not listing the random organ donors as they're minorly out of the book's spectrum; for the same reason, I didn't list the other random deaths that the killer in Visions murdered except for the ones that had names, because then it would be something like victim: "random females". The chart is a bit of a pain so I'll do that myself. Kylara21 02:12, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
- There should probably be a spoiler tag before the chart, but I don't know how to do that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.226.14.54 (talk) 00:04, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
Some 10 years after the last Talk note - what is the meaning of 'pre-book'? In at least some examples deaths labelled as such are part of the book action not merely referred to - see Devoted in Death for example. Elsewhen, as per Memory of Death, the terrorist killing is nigh-on irrelevant and not part of Eve's solution. Nojoking 86.180.96.236 (talk) 08:10, 26 March 2019 (UTC)
What is this?
[edit]The article doesn't really explain what In Death is. Is it a series of novels? Short stories? A syndicated magazine series? Political editorials in the NYTimes? This information should be in the first paragraph if not the first sentence. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ecnassianer (talk • contribs) 20:13, 5 January 2011 (UTC)
Time of Death ?
[edit]I have removed "Time of Death" since there is no ISBN number and I could not find any references for it.
