Literature citations

The current text says "Harvey Wallbanger appears in literature as early as 1971". According to http://www.foodtimeline.org/brandquiz.html , the Los Angeles Times gave a recipe in August 22, 1968 . That claim is repeated at http://wiki.webtender.com/wiki/Harvey_Wallbanger#Los_Angeles_Times.2C_22nd_August_1968 . I do not have access to the LAT archives to verify this.

The foodtimeline.org page also quotes a 1972 LAT article as saying "In legend, a Harvey Wallbanger is any person who has mastered the noble art of the foul up". I found a use in that sense in The Spokesman-Review - Jun 21, 1971, p8, column 1, under 'So--Just Keep Trying'. ("Add nominations for the "Harvey Wallbanger Award," 1971 edition for monumental sports goof").

"Gem of a restaurant"

There has been a recent resurgence of the Harvey Wallbanger in Buffalo NY. Particularly at a gem of a bar called Founding Fathers.'

Does this really belong here? This sounds like an advert, and has no place here. I have, however, no way to fix it. 69.123.35.191 23:33, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

"Harvey's Wallbangers" is also a nickname for the 1982 Milwaukee Brewers baseball team. Perhaps a link is in order? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.42.234.119 (talk) 14:43, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

Name

I think I read this story in "the Book of Lists" but it must be from somewhere else. Wish I had time to check. Anyway: The eponymous surfer, Harvey (his last name, first name varies) loved the "Italian Screwdriver"; even after the beach had closed, he couldn't stay off the waves. He would adjourn to his favorite beach bar, have eight or ten of these, and then get up to leave - and walk right into the wall. Ellsworth (talk) 04:49, 4 March 2009 (UTC)

I had been wondering if an actor I hadn't heard of made reference to this drink in a movie I've never heard of. Thanks again, Wikipedia, for stuffing a reasonably decent article full of completely irrelevant information for the purpose of appeasing obsessive fanboys! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.104.95.22 (talk) 09:37, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

Well, you found what you were looking for, didn't you? Good for you, people work hard in their spare time sos you can find those infos for free.
An article has more infos you need, or like? Easy. DON'T FUCKING READ IT! It's as easy as that. 176.0.108.245 (talk) 13:23, 29 May 2015 (UTC)

Btw: Who the hell are you to be the last instance for what other people may search or be interested in? Everything's to be deleted you and your kind already know or deem irrelevant because you don't like it? An anon wanting to delete information, great, really. 176.0.108.245 (talk) 13:39, 29 May 2015 (UTC)
