First son's death

[edit]

The cause of his first son's death has been corrected from 'killed in' to 'died of wounds received in the Battle of the Somme' because he lived long enough to be evacuated to Britain, enabling him to be buried in same churchyard in Welshpool as his father was later on. At that stage of the war this would not have been possible had he been killed outright in battle.Cloptonson (talk) 19:12, 8 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Education

[edit]

I have added details of his education at Eton and Cambridge. I have cited it to the hardback version of the relevant volume of Venn's List "Alumni Cantabrigienses", which users with better access can substitute with a digital link.Cloptonson (talk) 19:03, 27 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
