Geneva Citizens' MovementMouvement citoyens genevois — Proposing move per Wikipedia:Naming conventions (political parties)#Exceptions number 4. This Swiss political party is known in both French and German by its French name. Relisted. Arbitrarily0 (talk) 12:47, 25 August 2010 (UTC) City of Destruction 20:46, 17 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Mild Oppose "Geneva Citizen's Movement" does have some use in English. For example, Switzerland's radio service uses it. However, the party does not seem very prominent in English language sources in general, under any name. Given the paucity of citations, the English language convention is not obvious in this case.Erudy (talk) 04:30, 18 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose. The party operates only in the Canton of Geneva, where the only official language is French. As such, the exception doesn't apply. Furthermore, in German language media, the party is sometimes known as the 'Genfer Bürgerbewegung' (which is the literal translation of both the English and French names given here). • Oppose I found adequate usage in German of Genfer Bürgerbewegung, so the exception does not apply. The Italian language press in Switzerland often refer to them as Movimento dei cittadini ginevrini, but sometimes with the shorthand cittadini di Ginevra, which can be confusing out of context. --Bejnar (talk) 21:57, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
