Notice of intent to rewrite

[edit]

This Article is good and useful, for it is about a watercolourist who is unjustly neglected in his native country. However (1) it needs to be written in standard English, not mistranslated from Spanish (a marinero is not a "marine", for example); (2) it needs better sources; (3) it needs more thorough biographical details; and (4) as it stands it is too Buenos-Aires-centric. If anyone wants to collaborate on the task, I have the sources already. Ttocserp 15:10, 12 July 2017 (UTC)

Rewritten October 2019

[edit]

Nobody else being interested in collaborating, I've rewritten the entire article as per above criteria. I removed the infobox but another editor has restored it. In my judgement it adds nothing to the article, but detracts from it. The existing information is trivial, or wrong. The illustration duplicates an image in the body of the article (and in lower grade too), and is artistically inept because it detracts from the main and much better image. These are editorial judgements requiring mature consideration and nobody has dicussed an alternative point of view. So, unless there is a diferent consensus, I'm going to remove it by and by.Ttocserp (talk) 03:46, 24 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
