Chron order

[edit]

I am going to put these in chronological order, backwards like this masks information about the importance of the earliest entrants.Ortolan88 (talk) 22:40, 16 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

On the other hand, it took them 30 years to get around to W.C. Handy!!!Ortolan88 (talk) 03:42, 15 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Citations

[edit]

The template marking this article as missing citations is blindly dumped here. If the dumper had bothered to have a look at the article, (s)he'd seen the link to the source at the bottom. This kind of template-dumping makes me wonder why these "editors" edit if they're not able to see this (could they be in it for the # edits?). 46.9.97.156 (talk) 06:39, 27 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Other Blues Halls of Fame

[edit]

There have been several attempts (usually by IPs) to add artists who were not inducted by the Blues Foundation for its Blues Hall of Fame. [1] [2] [3] [4] The 16 October 2019 IP edit summary included "added to 2018 section.approved by Chairman and Board member Daniel S. Marolt".[5] Marolt runs a website "blueshalloffame.com", which is not affiliated with the Blues Foundation Hall based in Memphis. There is an ongoing dispute between the two.[6]

On 20 June 2013, edits by the new account "Blues Hall of Fame (talk · contribs)" attempted to remove the Blues Foundation and add the website in its place.[7] In 2016, they added to their user and talk pages: "Blues Hall of Fame ® a virtual eMuseum located at http://www.BluesHallofFame.com should have a Wikipedia page and presence. I have no idea how to do this. Can anyone please help." The website does not appear to meet notability criteria (see Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies) and Wikipedia:Notability (web)) and no further action was taken.

Any additions to the inductee list should checked against the Blues Foundation website or other reliable sources, especially for changes to prior years listings.
