Eve of Destruction

[edit]

Being a child of 60's parents we can all learn a lot about the lyrics of this song. What happened to political protest songs? What better medium than music to get your message out there. I think this song is one of the greatest songs ever made. The lyrics make you stop, pull you in and evaluate the human race. Come on people wake up! Is there any hope for the human race?

Saw Barry on Spicks and Specks the other day. He talked about and preformed Eve of Destruction —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.30.116.112 (talk) 14:53, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I love his songs that I have heard, including of course "Eve of Destruction" and enjoyed the knowledge that he had settled in my country with his native New Zealand wife. About four years ago he was more or less evicted, because he had a "terminal" illness. Only this year my country warmly (and deservably so!) welcomed a new immagrant from Britain who was 102 years old! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gerevox (talkcontribs) 10:59, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That's interesting Gervox, where did you get that information from? ~ crowbarred

Photo reversed

[edit]

Note that the photo of McGuire currently in the article is reversed left/right. He actually plays right-handed. Bubba73 (talk), 01:00, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Recent Edit

[edit]

I removed this sentence - "His acting and singing in the musical was considered very inspiring." - as being inappropriate for an encyclopedia article as it had no citation to back up the statement. Feel free to revert with an appropriate source for the citation.THX1136 (talk) 15:29, 24 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
