Because it is particular to Saint Brendan i thought it should stand alone but given the brevity of the subject itself and references to other fictional fish it probably should. JMilty (talk) 01:01, 25 March 2010 (UTC)

Aspis is greek for shield, but, better than asp, I'd say you can translate it as cobra, since a cobra's hood looks like a shield. FangoFuficius (talk) 15:19, 16 March 2022 (UTC)
