Ashley's Father
[edit]What is the story behind Ashley's father and when did John Abbott find out he was not the father? 74.113.196.37 22:58, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
Ashley's father was a tennis player named Brett (i think) that Dina had an affair with. He is now dead but Ashley met him before he died. John never found out the truth and the last time it was mentioned was when Rafael, Brett's stepson, turned up in town in 1999.Dippit 04:23, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
Ashley's father was Brent Davis, a pro golf player Dina had an affair with. He was an alcoholic and eventually died from an alcohol related disease. Ashley discovered the truth of her paternity in 1985 shortly before Brent died. John never discovered the truth. I believe Dina Megeron (Ashley's mother) Jack Abbott, Kay Chancellor, Victor Newman and Jill Foster Abbott are the only ones who know the truth. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Supes81 (talk • contribs) 01:43, 16 March 2012 (UTC)
Edit explanation
[edit]Regarding [1]. Before I was able to do an edit summary, the page saved. Sorry. I just removed the small code tags as those are defaulted in the new infobox and put back some removed information from a previous edit. Sorry for the lack of edit summary. question???
[edit]The line "ashley goes on to have two more unsucceSsful marriages with Blade Bladeson and Cole Howard" is in accurate. Ashley and Blades marriage was successful as her marriage with stephen despite his premature death. In fact Ashley and Blade where wedded longer than she and Stephen. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.53.153.101 (talk) 01:54, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
I wouldn't call length of time a measure of success. Ashley's marriage to Blade was miserable for her and she considered divorce seriously before Blade's twin Rick abducted Blade and took his place. Ashley was very happy with Rick (not realising it was him) Blade escaped and resumed his role as Ashley's husband and again Ashley wanted a divorce. Her marriage to Steven Lassiter was successful in the sense that they were very happy and had no issues within their marriage, it ended only because he was murdered.Supes81 (talk) 01:50, 16 March 2012 (UTC)
John Abbott is NOT Ashley's "stepfather!"
[edit]John Abbott is not the step-father of Ashley Abbott. He is her legal father! For John to be Ashley's stepfather, he would have had to marry Dina after Ashley was born, which he didn't. This should be easy to understand. It's 100% the exact same thing as Neil Winters not being Lily Winters' step-father. He, too, is her legal father. John and Neil both hold legal rights to their children and have throughout their children's entire lives. As far as the law is concerned, those people are their kids fathers. Legally (which trumps "bio" in every possible way), Ashley is a full-sibling to both Jack Abbott and Traci Abbott Connelly.Cebr1979 (talk) 23:50, 6 June 2015 (UTC)
- Again, this matter has already been discussed here. Jester66 (talk) 23:53, 25 June 2015 (UTC)
- Again, your original research about what a step-father is doesn't explain how Ashley can't have a legal father but, somehow can have a legal grandfather. If John Abbott is going to be her step-father, then Robert Abbott has to be her step-grandfather (which doesn't get listed in the infobox). Ivan Abbott has to be her step-uncle and Billy Abbott has to be her step-brother. You can't be deciding who is related to whom on a character by character basis based on personal preference. She's either a step-Abbott or a legal one. Not both.Cebr1979 (talk) 00:00, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
- Seems like no matter what facts get thrown your way, you seem to ignore them, just to edit war.Jester66 (talk) 01:15, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
- Seems more like you create "facts" in order to have everything your way even though it rarely makes sense and when you get asked a question you can't answer you say something that makes even less sense in an attempt to change the topic... It doesn't work with me, though.Cebr1979 (talk) 01:18, 26 June 2015 (UTC)

Source
[edit]As can be seen here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-JjLDiFkm5g), Ashley made her last appearance on B and B on November 25th, 2008. It can also be seen here (https://www.soapcentral.com/bb/recaps/2008/081124.php) DaniloDaysOfOurLives (talk) 14:50, 19 August 2020 (UTC)
Additionally, the source stating her final appearance was published before the November 2008 appearance. DaniloDaysOfOurLives (talk) 14:55, 19 August 2020 (UTC)
Please View this discussion. There are two sources showing how Ashley appeared in November 2008. The episode is online - that is the best source there are! And it is possible to make guest appearances despite being a full time member. Davidson made several appearances on Y&R when she was on B&B, Eric Forrester often appeared on Y&R, Grace Turner appeared in 2014 on Y&R despite being on B&B full time... They're filmed in the same area so it is very easy to. DaniloDaysOfOurLives (talk) 15:20, 19 August 2020 (UTC)
