Replacing Current Primary Image
[edit]In my opinion, the primary Apple II image in this article should be replaced with another image. The current image has been too heavily (and somewhat sloppy) edited to remove reflections. A good replacement image by the same author is available here. Far, far better quality, and all it requires is a simple edit to make the background white. Other potential candidates here. Agreed? --82.170.113.123 (talk) 20:21, 11 July 2013 (UTC)
- Done (by someone else, a while back). --82.136.210.153 (talk) 11:22, 4 September 2014 (UTC)
Apple II vs. Apple II series
[edit]There are hundreds—probably in the 500-1000 range—of articles where the link Apple II is used instead of Apple II series. Look at any of the Apple II game pages, for example. "Apple II" is generally synonymous with the Apple II line.
With the Apple II, Apple II+, and Apple IIe being the bulk of the models and very similar, it feels like the Apple II page could be rewritten to serve the purpose of the Apple II series article. There's already a precedent, in that half a dozen Atari 8-bit computers are covered by the Atari 8-bit family article, and the majority of them don't have individual articles. For the Apple II, it makes sense to have articles for unusual models like the //c, but right now having both Apple II and Apple II series is confusing and redundant.
