This article is full of rumors and insults ...

... and most sections should be deleted.

  • The British Administrators had their office buildings erected on higher ground. It was de facto not possible to flood the administrative buildings in Keningau, Tenom and Pensiangan.
  • The British Noth Borneo Chartered Company dedicated itselft to abolish slavery in its constitutional paper. There was no forced labour in North Borneo under the Government of the Company. Instead, the Company implemented several schemes to attract labour from other countries, especially China and Indonesia. The estate labour was widely filled with Javanese which came in under a Indentured Labour Scheme which was supervised by the Company and also by the Dutch Colonial Government in Batavia. In 1914, a total of 459 Javanese workers and in 1915 a total of 426 workers were brought into the country. These fact were thoroughly settled in the work of Tregonning and also Koji Miyazaki. The more: the Court Records of the Company have several cases described, where Estate Managers had to face severe punishment after not following up the regulations of the Labour Ordinance or for the flogging of Chinese Workers.

Sorry to say so, but it's bullshit. If there is no reliable citation for the statements within the next two weeks, I will delete the appropriate paragraphs. --Cccefalon (talkcontribs) 10:12, 15 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. Please see the article in German Wikipedia which provides full facts on the history of the rebellion (not "revolt"). --Cccefalon (talkcontribs) 10:17, 15 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
