I pushed the wrong button and reverted the edit of July 7, 2009, without leaving an edit summary. That URL for CERDEC is either dead or unreasonably unresponsive. Hal Jespersen (talk) 15:00, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Early life (Note in paragraph three)

[edit]

The note is incorrect where it states that the official branch insignia of the U. S. Army Signal Corps is two crossed semaphore flags. The two crossed flags are signal flags. Refer to the wiki entry for Signal Corps (United States Army. Also refer to the website for the Office of the Administrative Assistant to the Secretary of the Army: The Institute of Heraldry. <http://www.tioh.hqda.pentagon.mil/> and more specifically: <http://www.tioh.hqda.pentagon.mil/branches/Signal.htm>.History1861 (talk) 03:39, 9 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You're right, thanks. Perhaps the mistake occurred because there are two flags used in semaphoring, but just one in wig-wagging. Hal Jespersen (talk) 14:53, 9 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Signal Corps Association biography of Myer links instead to the website portrait of Mrs. Myer. I am not well versed enough in wiki editing to safely correct the problem.History1861 (talk) 03:50, 9 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed. Thanks for catching. Hal Jespersen (talk) 14:53, 9 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
