When, what became of it now?
[edit]Hi I'm researching my family history and both my grandparents were from Alaska, West Virginia. Do you know what became of it now, what city or area is it in? Thanks. Mammabear379 (talk) 11:07, 11 January 2018 (UTC)
- The closest place that would be near Alaska, would probably be Claremont. I have not had the ability to physically check for anything being left there, I do not know honestly what would be left, if you Google map it you wind up south of Thurmond on McKendree road. Given its history, being next to the New River, it would not be easily found. I would try talking to the folks at the Thurmond Station....Coal town guy (talk) 15:00, 11 January 2018 (UTC)
