Kâzım İnanç (1880; Diyarbakır, Diyarbekir Vilayet - 21 September 1938; Ankara) was an officer of the Ottoman Army and a general of the Turkish Army. He was from Turkish Alyanakzâde[2] family of Diyarbakir.[3]

He graduated from the War School in 1900 as a lieutenant and from the War Academy in 1902 as a staff captain. He became a senior staff captain on March 9, 1905, and a staff major on June 14, 1909. He served in various levels in the army until 1911. He received training in the German Army between 1911 and 1912. He served as the director of the 3rd Branch of the Eastern Rumelia Army in the Balkan War. He was appointed Military Attaché in Rome on August 10, 1913. He was appointed director of the 1st Army Intelligence Branch on August 3, 1914. While he was in this position, World War I broke out. On November 29, 1914, he was appointed director of the Operations Branch of the 1st Army, and on February 12, 1915, he was appointed chief of staff of the 1st Army. Promoted to the rank of lieutenant colonel on March 7, 1915, İNANÇ was subsequently appointed chief of staff of the 5th Army on March 15, 1915. He became a staff colonel on December 14, 1915. He was appointed chief of staff of the Yıldırım Army Group on June 12, 1917. He was promoted to the rank of major general on March 1, 1918, and was appointed as the Deputy Chief of the General Staff on November 5, 1918. He was dismissed from his duty on April 11, 1920. He came to Ankara on June 27, 1920 to join the National Struggle. He was assigned to carry out security, public order, and recruitment operations in the Western Front Command region under the command of the Presidency of the TBMM. He was appointed Undersecretary of the Ministry of National Defense on November 12, 1920, Head of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief on August 8, 1921, and Commander of the 6th Corps on March 21, 1922. Promoted to the rank of lieutenant general on October 4, 1924, İNANÇ became the commander of the 9th Corps on October 7, 1924, and the commander of the 3rd Army on October 31, 1924. He resigned from his post on June 20, 1925. He was appointed Governor of Samsun on August 22, 1926. He retired on October 21, 1928. Lieutenant General Kâzım İNANÇ, who was the holder of various decorations and medals by the Ottoman Empire, Romanian, German and Austro-Hungarian Empires, as well as the Independence Medal and certificate of commendation given by the TBMM, passed away on September 21, 1938.
