The 2023 Campeonato Brasileiro Série B (officially the Brasileirão Série B Betano 2023 for sponsorship reasons)[1] was a football competition held in Brazil, equivalent to the second division. The competition began on 14 April and ended on 25 November.[2]

Twenty teams competed in the tournament, twelve returning from the 2022 season, four promoted from the 2022 Campeonato Brasileiro Série C (ABC, Botafogo-SP, Mirassol and Vitória),[3] and four relegated from the 2022 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A (Atlético Goianiense, Avaí, Ceará and Juventude).[4]

The top four teams were promoted to the 2024 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A. Vitória became the first club to be promoted on 12 November 2023 after a 1–2 win against Novorizontino.[5] Criciúma were promoted on 18 November 2023,[6] and Juventude and Atlético Goianiense were promoted on 25 November 2023.[7][8]

ABC, Londrina, Sampaio Corrêa and Tombense were relegated to the 2024 Campeonato Brasileiro Série C.[9]
