The 1970–71 English football season was Aston Villa's 71st season in the Football League, this season playing in the Third Division. Vic Crowe was manager.[1]

There were debut appearances for Geoff Vowden (97), Harry Gregory (24), Dave Gibson (19), and Geoff Crudgington (4).[2]
