Eltoprazine (DU-28,853) is a psychoactive drug and research chemical of the piperazine chemical class. It is a so-called serenic or antiaggressive agent.[1] It is closely related to several other piperazines, including fluprazine, batoprazine, DU-28,412, flesinoxan, and TFMPP, as well as more distantly to the azapirones such as buspirone. Eltoprazine acts as an agonist at the 5-HT1A and 5-HT1B receptors, and as an antagonist at the 5-HT2C receptor.[2]
