Unfortunately, cannae make a new page without logging in, and I just don't want to bother with Wikipedia so much as to do that. Still! |

All are used in the linked works (as disambiguated in the links), and in a gallery in [[William Britten]] (which should really be moved to [[William Edward Frank Britten]] - the artist is far, far better known by his initials than by the spelt-out first name; including the middle names at least gets all the needed information in). The Garden at Somersby Rectory is used in [[Alfred, Lord Tennyson]], and note Sleeping Beauty's link redirects to [[The Day-Dream]], the title of the expanded version of the poem. There's a few other uses as well, for instance, the Mariana illustration is used in [[Measure for Measure]], and Sleeping Beauty is used in the fairy-tale's page, [[Sleeping Beauty]] (albeit the latter is quite a recent addition, insofar as I just added it). - Adam. |
|||
Oh, note that there's minor duplication between illustrative images in [[William Britten]] - this is in order to have the gallery in book order, without gaps, while still having an example of his works. Feel free to tweak. Due to need for consistency in a much larger set, the current FP, [[:File:W.E.F. Britten - Alfred, Lord Tennyson - St. Simeon Stylites.jpg]] - is no longer used. The borders need to be big enough to show the difference between the photogravure part and the page; the contrast is what lets one identify something as a photogravure. Er, any other questions, ask. I may actually bother to watch Wikipedia for a day or two. -Adam. |

Picture peer review was a staging area for potential Featured Picture Candidates (FPCs). This review was a useful "spot check" before making a formal FPC nomination – a working area where you can get some creative feedback, request help with useful pictures that might need minor editing, or advice with finding the best article that they illustrate – giving that nomination its best possible chance of promotion. Note: "peer review" usually implies a group of authoritative reviewers who are equally familiar with and expert in the subject. The process represented by this page is not a formal academic peer review in that sense. Images that undergo this process cannot be assumed to have greater authority than any other. For general advice on editing pictures prior to uploading, see Wikipedia:How to improve image quality. For the specific criteria against which FPCs are judged, see Wikipedia:What is a featured picture?
