importing Old Polish and improving Polish dialectal coverage.
If final nasality -ę is not mentioned, careful speech should be turned off, if not mentioned for -ą, then again no labels should be given. Also final interterm voicing may vary by dialect. If sibilants are not mentioned, I think decomposition should be prefered.
Greater Poland
edit- Kociewie dialect#Nasal vowels, final -ą > o, final -ę > e or a, turn on y = i
- South: medial ę > aN, medial ą > uN
- Central: medial ę > aN, medial ą > óN or lost before sibilants
- North: medial ę > aN or yN, medial ą > óN or lost before sibilants
- Bory Tucholskie dialect#Nasal vowels - medial -ę- as standard or aN or yN, -ą- as standard or -uN- final -ę > -a, final -ą > -o, turn on y = i
- Krajna dialect#Nasal vowels - let's use modern: -ę- > eN or yN, -ą- > uN, -ę > e, -ą > -óm or -um is south or -ą (with nasality) in north, turn on y = i
- Chełmno-Dobrzyń dialect#Nasal vowels - -ę- seems to be more like standard, -ą- > -uN, and final -ą > -u (-o is rarer)
- Kujawy dialect - -ę- > yN (less commonly -iN- after soft), -ą- > -oN- or -óN-, final -ę > -e, -ą > -um
- Northern Greater Poland dialect#Nasal vowels - final -ą > -om, otherwise as standard, historically denazalized before sibilants, I think we can ignore
- Western Greater Poland dialect#Nasal vowels - -ę- > -yN- (hard) or -iN- (soft) except before sibilants, -ą- > -óN-, -ę > -e, -ą > -om, -óm
- Central Greater Poland dialect#Nasal vowels - -ę- > -iN- (soft), -yN- (hard), -ą- > -oN-, -óN-, -ę > -e, -ą > -om, -óm
- Eastern Greater Poland dialect#Nasal vowels -as above; -ę- > -iN- (soft), -yN- (hard), -ą- > -oN-, -óN-, -ę > -e, -ą > -om, -óm
- Southern Greater Poland dialect#Nasal vowels -as above; -ę- > -iN- (soft), -yN- (hard), -ą- > -oN-, -óN-, -ę > -e, -ą > -om, -óm
Masovian
editSome Masovian dialects show hardening of palatal sibilants so ś > like English sh, idk if we want to mention this
- Lubawa dialect#Nasal vowels - final -ę > -e, -ą > -o or -u, nasality before sonorants, turn on y = i
- Ostróda dialect#Nasal vowels - final -ą > -o
- Warmia dialect#Nasal vowels - -ę- > -yN- (-é-) or -aN-, -ą- > -óN- (may raise also to ubut etymologically ó), -ę > -a; -ą > -o, or sometimes -u; sibilants show a lot of variation
- Masurian dialects#Nasal vowels - -ę- > -éN-, -ą- > -óN- (may raise but etymologically ó), final -ę > -e, -ą > -o
- Suwałki dialect#Nasal vowels - -ę- > -yN- (hard), -iN- (soft) and -ą- > -oN- , -ę > -e, -ą > -o
- Łowicz dialect#Nasal vowels - -ę- > -yN- (hard and l) or -iN- (soft), -ę > -e (sometimes -y) -ą- > -óN- (with phonetic -o- or -u-), -ą > -om
- Near Masovian dialect#Nasal vowels - -ę- generally > -eN-, -ą- > -óN, -ą > -o(ł), sometimes -u (let's print -o), -ę > -e
- Far Masovian dialect#Nasal vowels - -ę- > -eN-, -ą- > -oN- -ę > -e, -ą > -o. Sibilants seem to be weird but let's decompose
- Kurpie dialect#Nasal vowels - -ę- > -aN-, -ą- > -óN- -ę > -a, -ą > -o
- Podlachia dialect#Nasal vowels - -ę- > -eN-, -ą- > -oN- -ę > -e, -ą > -o - sometimes stress can change the vowel but we can respell

- (productive) An American guy from Colorado who speaks with the Rocky Mountain dialect, but also has smattering of Midwest in there. Currently lives in Warsaw. Mostly adds Polish. Particularly enjoys word formation, but will add anything that's missing, and officially certified as C1 in Polish.

editIdeas for Wiktionary
edit{{cog+}}
, which would allow for the easy displaying of large lists of cognates, allowing one to group them by family, place in a collapsible box, etc.{{bibliography}}
or something similar, akin to to{{reflist}}
that would allow to more easily handle large lists of references in the Further reading section and allow for grouping, control of size of output display, etc.- Some sort of template for handling large amounts of alt forms at once (
{{alt+}}
? but how do you handle a map)(i.e. dialectal variations such as from MAGP)
Polish wishlist
editI would like to make the following mass changes to Polish entries, most of which are hopefully bot-able. My list is as follows:
Priority 1:
- Fix dialectal realization of nasals (see above)
- Change params of
{{R:pl:ISNP}}
to not need param 1 but take it optionally and also deploy it on surname pages based on User:Vininn126/wanted/a/ISNP and other letters - Change params of ref templates that use
+
for generating the text link, like{{R:pl:SXVI}}
- Finish Old Polish import
Priority 2:
- New declension modules
- Declension for pages missing (excluding indeclinable words)
- Map for alt forms from atlases
Priority 3:
- get etys on all lemmas, i guess, and add dates.
- Deal with "ultimately from" wordings like on eufonia
- Deal with two instances of
{{bor}}
like on filharmonia - Deal with "Perhaps" like on fonia
- Deal with "From
{{der}}
" like on Mauretania - Crap like on radioelektryka (see history)
- Find etys using only
{{m}}
- organize col3's by title, also use plural for titles and organize alphabetically by title, and also use
{{pl-derived verbs}}
for all verbs? - add these
- Add relative adjectives to headwords
- Check Category:Polish interjections and Category:Polish particles and add appropriate words to Category:Polish discourse markers
- Change singular only to uncountable (similar changes?)
- Make alt forms soft redirects and remove duplicate information spieszyć / śpieszyć
