editSuggestions & questions
edit- Is there any chance we could do this on a weekend instead? Just seems to make more sense for people to be able to attend... FlyingToaster 19:54, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
- I'm flying out Saturday evening. If on the weekend, preferably Friday night or early Saturday. — Werdna • talk 04:47, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
- Friday sounds like a good idea... how do other people feel? FlyingToaster 06:24, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
I was told at work that lots of people are going to RecentChangesCamp that day or on Thursday. Perhaps a little earlier might work out better... — Werdna • talk 06:07, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
- I'm suggesting we meet at 21st Amendment brewery/restaurant in SOMA, circa 6pmish/later, unless somebody has awsomer plans. :) --brion (talk)
- Something Wikipudlians may be interested in: The California Academy of Sciences is hosting "late nights" from 6pm - 10pm on Thursday [1]. Perhaps we could do a meetup somewhere in the city (like the 21st amendment) beforehand, and then a group interested could go to the science late night afterwards. I recommend buying tickets ahead of time. FlyingToaster 07:40, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
- I second the 21st Ammendment! Trevor Parscal (talk) 05:25, 19 February 2009 (UTC)

21st Amendment sounds okayish, although it would be nice if FlyingToaster and friends could come along (the Academy of Sciences is a while away), and so someplace in the Presidio might be nice. OTOH, I think it's worth sticking with 21st Amendment since it's a bit late to be arguing about venue if we want any turnout. — Werdna • talk 05:31, 19 February 2009 (UTC)
- It's... it's ok... you'll just have to somehow go on without me... it's the only way... to defeat the axis. Tell my wife that... I love her. FlyingToaster 19:57, 19 February 2009 (UTC)
- Question: Is this meetup date/time going to be finalized soon?

Attendees & comments
edit- It was definitely a good decision to attend this event: I was jazzed to meet so many fellow wikipedians... my dinner/drink were great... and, oh yeah, we hogged a bunch of tables during their dinner rush... Rosiestep (talk) 19:15, 20 February 2009 (UTC)
The DNA Lounge has hosted open-source related events in the past, and they might be able to set up a better venue for discussions. I am not sure whether they can compete with the California Academy of Sciences mentioned above, but they are currently being hassled by the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control in a very peculiar way, so I thought I would suggest them. Email them for more info. 69.228.194.254 (talk) 01:44, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
