Halfling Daniel
editHello everyone. I've been reading Wikipedia for a while, and I find it fascinating how most subjects are covered here. If you want to know a bit more about me, I've made a user page. I hope I can help this encyclopedia with contributions. ^^ Halfling Daniel 14:21, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

Darwin's Pug
editI've been using Wikipedia for a couple of years; I first heard about it from my husband, who is a college professor and uses it a lot. I never felt that I had anything to contribute, as I'm not an expert in anything, but today when I was reading the article on musician Judd Harris, I realized I had some new information that could be added, and also that I know enough about his band Visible From Space to write an article. I can already see how contributing, even in small amounts, could become wonderfully addictive.

editHello everybody!! I'm new here as a member, but I always come to Wikipedia for reference things. It's a great site, so maybe I can help a bit. I'm an avid reader, so I think that is generally what I'll be looking at the most! (any Inheritance fans notice the name? hehehe) ~AC~ out!

codyau
editLong time internet voyeur, part time contributor, all time user.
I'd like to use my time on Wikipedia to make additions and amendments to areas in which I have knowledge, and to thereby (hopefully) contribute to the sum of Wikipedian knowledge. I've been meaning to do this for a fair while now, and so I figured I should make the start, and just chip away at it, perhaps for the rest of my meagre life.
Got prompted into this by a few people who have attempted to make an entry about me (*sigh*), which caught my interest.

editHey,
I'm new and it's great to be here at Wikipedia

editHello,
I've used Wikipedia as a reference for various things for years and have occasionally made anonymous changes to things if I noticed they were misspelled or maybe not entirely clear. I recently held a job for a local newspaper and even though it didn't work out because of clashing personalities I feel like I can continue to advance and grow by becoming a Wikipedian. I plan on expanding articles relating to my hometown of Kingsland, Georgia and the surrounding area's to get my feet wet as well as play around with my User Page. I appreciate any constructive criticism and help anyone would like to offer.
robbro7
editEvening all.
I've been here a while, just never got round to doing a user page or anything remotely worthwhile.
Now that I have, I'll hopefully be seeing you around.
Heyo
editI've used the name Bane for some time. Basically joined Wikipedia because... well, because of the recent ThePirateBay.Org news. I've also sworn to Mail the guys $50 canadian IF they manage make the site fully functional once more.
Btw, 11:45 pm June 6th - 12:30 June 7th 2006. Website still down. Still displaying "We're experiencing some issues with the database. Please try again soon".
Searches CAN be done with google, as said on Wikinews, however you can't Actually go to the site currently.
Cool, I didn't know you could use HTML here!. oh wait...there's a toolbar? ohwell

Empezo queixandome

editYeah, well, I don't really know what to post here, but here I am. I've been editing Wikipedia for months until I made my own, nice account. I've also got an account at the German Wiki, so I've got some experience. Hello, there! --Pail 10:27, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

editHello, I am new to Wikipedia.
Hello everyone herein.. I'm not exactly new since I've got a plusgood number of edits preceding this one already, but I am new to this segment and wouldn't mind the salutations passerbys and pedestrians may send or lunge towards my general direction.
The way I've found Wikipedian was, I believe, out of the fact that the article for The Last Man on Earth need some improvement and being a very big fan of the film at the time felt it necessary to contribute what I can thereto. And then to a multitudinous variety of other pages....
Have a frabjous time to everyone on the other side of the screen! DrWho42 04:52, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

editHello. I'm not completely comfortable with Wiki formatting yet, so I'm limiting my edits to minor things I can't easily mess up. At the moment, that means removing vandalism from the article about my favorite band—it keeps showing up; don't these people have better things to do?—though I'm working up the nerve to do something more ambitious, like clarify the sentences and reorganize the information so that it flows better. Eek.

editHey, I'm smcro. I've been using wikipedia as a resource for a while and I finally thought that I should get an account. I'm interested in a broad amount of things so I'll contribute what I can. I am though part computer geek and part book worm. Right now I'm sticking to editing typos and small things until I get used to Wikipedia more and I'll gladly take any advice anyone has.--smcro 19:14, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

Time to stop merely consuming content and add to the critical mass, I guess. Don't mind me if'n I just play "grammar police" for a while whilst I fumble my way around initially.

editHello all Wikipedians! We often use Wikipedia as our first source for information. The concept of a common knowledge encyclopedia is fantastic.

editHi, this is the coolest website that I have been looking for years and years since the internet came out. I wish I had this when I was younger, it would have made things a lot easier. Keep up the good work. I want to help out too, but it seems I make articles a bit too long and complicated.

Despite common belief, Sinewaves23 is not a dragon. Yet.
editHello, I'm Sinewaves23. After years of browsing around in my spare time, I have finally crawled out of the mountain cave. I signed up for an account on this site during this past June. I will contribute mostly to music related things, for I plan on making many articles for Coil's vast discography. Their music is pretty fly. I'll probably be doing more than that though. Expect many articles about babies and cannibalism.

Nilsson Denver
editMy name is Nilsson Denver and I am from Dublin, Ireland.
I was always aware of wikipedia, but "discovered" it while doing research on a book I am writing.
I have qualifications in both computers and accounting.
My interests for which I can pass on knowledge are bookkeeping and accounts and so I am currently adding my knowledge to the Double-entry accounting section. I also have an interest in computers and computerised accounts system and all things business, in particular how they relate to small and medium sized enterprises.
I am a big fan of science fiction writing and TV.

Newbie
editHi. I'm currently a student in Washington, D.C. I used to make my living designing websites and databases, but I must admit that I'm intimidated by the World of Wikipedia. I enjoy reading about all facets of the world, but gravitate toward politics and law. Within those categories, I am particularly interested in civil rights, social justice movements, workers and unions, economic systems, and secular moral philosophies. I also like a good laugh on occasion. AShea 06:46, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

editHey all. I've always thought Wikipedia was awesome since a buddy of mine brought it to my attention a couple years ago and I've been tinkering with it ever since (hopefully for the good). I'm into video games - especially ones for the PC - and I can hopefully help improve their pages here. My user page is kind of empty at this point, but I will probably add more fairly soon.

editGreetings...
I'm Curt and I discovered Wikipedia through several business articles that mentioned the site. Since childhood, I've been fascinated by reference information & interesting facts. I can remember pulling different volumes from my family's encyclopedia set and selecting pages at random just to what topics would emerge.
I'm a huge sports fan (NFL, NBA and collegiate sports in particular), but I look forward to learning and contributing in any way I can.
Malificus
editHello to whoever cares, I'm Malificus and I like AMVs, Anime, Manga, various webcomics, and passing of Uncyclopedia articles I've made as Wikipedia Articles. I also like reading. My favorite author is David Eddings. My favorite Manga artists/writers are Ken Akamatsu, Ai Yazawa, Kazuya Minekura, and Yuichi Kumakura.
Aboriginal history, Canadian history, Canadian politics.
editI'm not brand new, but I've never introduced myself. I'm generally interested in keeping tabs on hot articles that tend to lose their neutrality. I'm also more specifically interested in Canadian aboriginal history and Canadian politics. I look forward to colaborating with other Wikipedians. Joel Bastedo 07:25, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

Hi all!
editI've been reading Wikipedia for aeons, but I have, unfortunately, not had the courage to come out and support this website. For the past week or so, I have been reading on special guidelines and policies so I do not become a nuisance on the site. My particular interests that I could use to support the project include Latin American history, military history, and the linguistics dealing with the Ibero-Romance languages. I hope to be able to contribute without any qualms.
My plans are as follows:
- I plan to extensive participate in deletion debates for articles at 500 edits.
- I plan to vote in RFA at 750-1000 edits
- I hope to receive messages telling me how to contribute as postively as possible.
- I hope to gain 10,000 edits here before leaving, however, I find this site to be addictive.
- I hope to attend a conference or such here.
- I hope to welcome newcomers
- Revert vandalism
- Create featured articles
- And finally help, rather than harm the project.
I hope this first edit will be followed by dozens more - I will not create a userpage, however, until I am more intergrated with the project. OMEN 17:42, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
Clairels
editHi. I was interested in writing articles for some of my favorite books that didn't have pages yet, my first one being Bel Canto by Ann Patchett. I'm pretty busy with school and work right now, but some more articles about things I fancy might appear in the near future. The first time I used Wikipedia is to look up goatse.cx (no joke!) and thought it was just a directory on Internet shock sites. Luckily I soon realized it had other cool features too!
Hassocks5489
editHi all,
Having been a regular (hour-a-day) browser of Wikipedia for over a year, and apparently having a head full of obscure and occasionally useful knowledge - so I am told - I have finally taken the chance to register and start creating and amending articles in order to add to the total of human knowledge. I work in the somewhat specialised financial world of factoring (see the entry "Factoring (finance)"!), and my specialist knowledge extends in all directions:
- British railway system, especially ticket issuing and fare collection systems and processes
- British geography, especially towns and cities
- British postcodes
- British vehicle registrations
- The Commodore Amiga computer
- British soap opera "Coronation Street"
- 1980s music
- Health and medical conditions
- British league and non-league football
My first new article is "National Location Code", which took me 3 hours to write and may cause you to fall asleep.
Best Wikipedia story: browsing at lunchtime at work, I tried to click on "Help" on the left-hand menu but missed, and clicked "Random Article" below. Of all the >1 million articles Wikipedia could bring up, it brought up ... "Foreskin Fetish". Seriously!
Glad to be here!
editA friend told me about this site, and I just wish I found out about it sooner. Anyway I'm glad to be a part of this groovy experiment is all. The internet is definitely alive and well.Rlefson 15:56, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
