Welcome!

Hello, YourLeastFavorite, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few links to pages you might find helpful:

You may also want to complete the Wikipedia Adventure, an interactive tour that will help you learn the basics of editing Wikipedia. You can visit the Teahouse to ask questions or seek help. Need some ideas about what kind of things need doing? Try the Task Center.

I noticed your edit to Marnus Labuschagne, with the edit summary HOLY COW THIS MAN IS A CERTIFIED EPIC HOOLIGAN!fixed spelling. I see two problems with this. One is the fact that the spelling was fine. The template at the top of that page's wikitext is {{Use Australian English}}, which includes spellings such as "penalised" and "practising". The other problem is your use of ALL-CAP edit summaries, which is unnecessary and comes across as SHOUTING.

Additionally, you have been removing maintenance templates, from Marnus Labuschagne, Acid3, and other pages, without addressing the problems cited. Please don't do this. The section at Acid3 still needs updating, as no sourced changes have been made since 2017. Calling the {{update-section}} template a lying box of lies isn't very helpful.

Hi YourLeastFavorite. I appreciate your enthusiasm, and the barnstar. Though I must say that I didn't actually write that article, I just happened to be the one who most recently edited the article (it was a minor fix). I agree with John above, that your all caps edit summaries are not standard Wikipedia style. If you have any questions about Wikipedia, feel free to ask me :) CaptainEek Edits Ho Cap'n! 19:44, 23 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Fellow de-orphaner!

edit

I noticed you added your name to the list of participants in WikiProject Orphanage. We really appreciate your help! The first things you could do to get started with us are:

  1. Read the Wikipedia:Orphan page, especially the section marked "Criteria". The page contains a lot of good advice to get you started, as well as the standard procedures we are using to de-orphan articles.
  2. Look at {{Orphan}}, and {{Multiple issues}} closely and make sure you know how to use them correctly.
  3. Keep de-orphaning! Category:Orphaned articles contains all orphaned articles organized by month and there is a large backlog we need to clear out so we appreciate any help we can get.

Of course, you may have already known all of this, in which case sorry for the spam. Either way, let me know if there's any way I can help you contribute more to the project! JoeNMLC (talk) 18:56, 10 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

I have already de-ophaned a page sir. Thankk you very much for the offer though. Cowan (talk) 19:08, 10 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
