Bad edit

edit

It added this [2] but it isn't the right link. SpencerT♦C 01:16, 17 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

right, interwikis was wrong on fr: then propagated to en:, I removed both, Adam Miller (footballer) is yet another guy - phe 13:09, 2 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
edit

Phe-bot has "corrected" the link to the Portuguese site to remove the double l from Castello. This is incorrect - the double l is there in the Portuguese. Bagunceiro (talk) 12:54, 24 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Well, looking article history, actually the name is Castelo not Castello - phe 13:04, 2 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
It's wrong - check out the Portuguese wiki. Failing that would the Brazilian government's presidential gallery or the biography here persuade you? The error is understandable because the word for castle, "castelo", in Portuguese has a single l. But not in this name. Bagunceiro (talk) 09:56, 4 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
did you follow the pt: link ? actually the name on pt is pt:Humberto de Alencar Castelo Branco, there is also a ref to explain why they use Castelo not Castello: À época de seu nascimento seu sobrenome era grafado Castello Branco, cuja grafia segundo o formulário ortográfico vigente é Castelo Branco. Pelas regras ortográficas vigentes, pessoas falecidas devem ter a grafia de seus nomes atualizada. Phe-bot (talk) 10:23, 4 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
I did, but it has changed since! I don't agree with it, but that's not a discussion for here, of course. Bagunceiro (talk) 10:48, 4 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yes, applying new orthography for people name is debatable, but that's must be done on pt: Phe-bot (talk) 10:50, 4 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

linked to deleted Jérôme Kerviel on de:

edit

I reverted the Phe-bot's addition of a interlang link to de:Jérôme Kerviel - although the de: article may appear to exist, it has been deleted, protected to prevent editing, and the subject matter replaced with a wikinews article. This is complicated by some kind of strange experiment in progress over in de: -Wikianon (talk) 18:36, 26 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Patriarch Alexius II

edit

I have made a suggestion at Patriarch Alexius II#Propose Protecting this Article that I think is workable. It changes the rules a little and should significantly reduce conflict. I would like to invite you to review the proposal and participate in the creation of a great article. It will stop edit warring by restricting work to the talk page in part because reverting another editors comments on the talk page is counter to WP:TALK. Jeepday (talk) 04:14, 30 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Oh, well, the only edit I made was a minor interwiki fix. - phe 13:01, 2 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Bad interwiki on monoicous

edit

This edit [3] added a link from a page about bryophyte biology to a page about flowers. The two articles are not about the same content, nor will they be. The English equivalent for Spanish monoica is monoecious not monoicous. --EncycloPetey (talk) 05:25, 3 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hmm, right, but bot will continue to add the wrong interwikis, de: has only one page for both notion and that page link to es: page. Monoecious is a redirect to Plant sexuality so es: article can't be linked here since es:Sexualidad vegetal exists. Perhaps you should add a {{nobots}} to monoicous but this template can't disable a specific bot operation like interwiki. Phe-bot (talk) 16:23, 3 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Incorrect Interwiki

edit

Your recent addition of fr:Coupe Telus - Offensif has been removed from Telus Cup article, and placed on Telus Cup - Offensive article where it belongs. Flibirigit (talk) 04:59, 5 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the note, corrected it on fr: too, error came from an incorrect iw link on fr:wp: Phe-bot (talk) 08:23, 5 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Can you please explain me this quote

edit

Hi, I am french, can you explain me this quote from "Lucy Brown" article please : "She also attended Oundle School which she eventually got expelled from for reinacting the orgasm scene from 'When Harry Met Sally' in the school library and Hills Road Sixth Form College and graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama." Thanks you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.48.128.254 (talk) 08:52, 6 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Patriation

edit

Hi there - your bot made a correction to the page on Patriation linking it to the French page 'Night of the Long Knives.' I've flagged this up on the talk page, since as the Night of the Long Knives was only one part of the larger issue of patriation, it could be seen as nationalist bias. It could be that the link was added because it links backwards as well, but since I'm and English speaker I didn't want to go ahead and edit the French wiki - in addition, linking back to the larger subject in English doesn't quite pose the same problem as going the other way around. vckeating (talk) 00:15, 12 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

I removed the interwiki from fr:Nuit des Longs Couteaux (Québec) to this article. Phe-bot (talk) 08:14, 12 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Bad interwiki on Double Leaf Society

edit

The Japanese wikipedia article ja:双葉会 is a later and different organization, not at all related to the organization described in the English language article Double Leaf Society. I have already reverted this once. Please delete from your bot list. --MChew (talk) 08:55, 13 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

I corrected interwikis in other lang too. In such case, please, correct all page else bot will continue to add the same iws over and over Phe-bot (talk) 09:15, 13 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
