Hi, This is very handy, thank you. Can I make a suggestion? I find it hard to highlight and cntrl-c I mistakenly click on the link itself which goes to the diff page, or I can't get it all highlighted accurately before hitting cntrl-c .. would it be possible to have a "[copy]" next to it, that inserts the diff string automatically into the edit buffer? It would be much easier. Thank you for the consideration. There is another tool that does the same, but for page title: User:Nardog/CopySectLink -- GreenC 21:51, 24 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Tagging pages for speedy deletion

edit

Hello, NguoiDungKhongDinhDanh,

If you tag the main page, the article or draft page, for deletion, you don't need to also tag the talk page. That will be deleted along with the main page when that page is deleted. Thank you for your help. Liz Read! Talk! 23:33, 5 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

OK, thanks for the heads up. NguoiDungKhongDinhDanh 23:35, 5 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Regexes for galleries

edit

I was rechecking that category and some of them have problems with the gallery tags (as you mentioned). Any regexes for that? I don't know how much it would help but anything would be better than nothing. - Klein Muçi (talk) 16:15, 7 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Klein Muçi: Simply no, because subst doesn't work in gallery tags, and they have too many attributes to catch. NguoiDungKhongDinhDanh 16:26, 7 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
Roger that! Thank you for the fast answer! :) - Klein Muçi (talk) 16:29, 7 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Problem with images added to Flora of Malta

edit

Hi

Thanks so much for adding the missing images, unfortunately something has gone wrong and the same image has been added to all the missing image spaces. I'm not sure what the issue is but I've reverted it till the problem has been worked out.

Thanks again

Issue with MassBlock

edit

Hi NguoiDungKhongDinhDanh! I noticed a problem with User:NguoiDungKhongDinhDanh/Angrenamer.js. The check box to allow talk page editing makes it so that they cannot? Can we please change the wording on that checkbox to be something like "block editing own talk page"? For this one I specifically made sure the box was checked and it yanked TPA, the opposite of what the box says it does. --TheSandDoctor Talk 17:17, 14 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Correction. The toggle apparently doesn't do anything at all. Can we please make it functional but put the default to be allow talk page editing? --TheSandDoctor Talk 17:20, 14 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
@TheSandDoctor: (Hopefully) Fixed, happy blocking! NguoiDungKhongDinhDanh 19:03, 14 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
That fixed it. Thank you! :) --TheSandDoctor Talk 03:12, 15 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hey, I am looking for a script which will 'copy the section' from one page to another page. Does this completely 'move the section' from one to another page? Can you make an another script which will 'copy the section' from one page to another page instead? Thank you for your consideration :) — Tulsi 24x7 06:10, 19 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Tulsi: Done. I added a Copy button which does exactly that. Should any errors happen, let me know. NguoiDungKhongDinhDanh 17:13, 19 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thank you so much. I have tested it on Babulal Sah Kanu and it worked, but then it pasted the contents at the end so I have to make some minor changes. May be you could add some additional features in it like where we wanted to paste the contents within the article or a quick editing window? That would be great. Thank you once again for the script. You did a great job.   Kind regards, — Tulsi 24x7 01:11, 20 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Tulsi: This script was originally designed to be use in archiving talk pages; the feature you are asking for is out of its scope. However, there are other scripts that may help (most recommended first): QuickEdit, Wikignome gadget, Wikiplus. NguoiDungKhongDinhDanh 16:13, 20 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi from a new editor

edit

Hi, my name is Daeva, I would like to ask a few questions

You have undo some of my edits, I understand the reason you deleted National Socialist Party of Vietnam from “List of flags of Vietnam”. It is not a well-known group, only active on social media and sometimes outside . So it reasonable because there are no reliable sources for my information.

But I would like to ask about the map I added in “PRG Republic of South Vietnam”. I wanted to change the map because I think it looks clearer. I would like to know why it’s not an improvement. Maybe your explanation can help me improve my edit in the future.

Thank you for reading Daeva Trạc (talk) 20:35, 19 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

You may revert that one. It was in the middle of good and bad and somehow I decided to undo. Sorry for that. NguoiDungKhongDinhDanh 22:57, 19 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
It's ok, thank you for noticed my edit though. Hope to learn more to improve Wikipedia Daeva Trạc (talk) 01:03, 20 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Ajax history pushing (feature request)

edit

According to stackoverflow, one can change the url of a page without reloading by pushing to its history. Could AjaxLoader perhaps do that, probably by getting the URL from the links? Thanks in advance! Aaron Liu (talk) 23:46, 9 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Aaron Liu: The script is now legacy code to me. I'd prefer not having to edit it. You can submit an edit request if you want. This is more or less everything that needs to be added:
window.history.pushState({html: $(main).html()}, '', link);
window.addEventListener('popstate', event => {
	$(main).html(event?.state?.html ?? $(main).html());
});
The big question is where. Probably somewhere in the success callback of the $.ajax() call, but the event listener should only be added once.
NguoiDungKhongDinhDanh 03:47, 10 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
If we should only add the listener once, why not before the click listener? Aaron Liu (talk) 21:16, 10 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Aaron Liu: That sounds about right. Go ahead. NguoiDungKhongDinhDanh 17:03, 11 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
