Users with alternate accounts may only vote once. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. Drive: Of the 22 editors who signed up for our July Backlog Elimination Drive, 18 copy-edited, between them, 116 articles. Barnstars awarded are noted here. Blitz: Participants in our August Copy Editing Blitz copy-edited 51,074 words in 17 articles. Of the 15 editors who signed up, 11 claimed at least one copy-edit. Barnstars awarded are noted here. Progress report: As of 19:57, 12 October 2022 (UTC), GOCE copyeditors have processed 303 requests for copy edit – including withdrawn and declined ones – since 1 January. At the time of writing, there are 77 requests awaiting attention and the backlog of tagged articles stands at 1,759. We always need more active, skilled copyeditors – particularly for requests – so please get involved if you can. Page moves

Hi there, I’m sorry I had to revert you as I agree with the Talia Lavin page move; it just needs to be done in a way that preserves the page history, per WP:MOVE. There are instructions there on how to request that move from someone with the relevant permissions (usually an admin). I would put it in myself but I can’t immediately put my hands on Lavin’s indication that they prefer Talia, which the page mover will want to see. Akha tone

Thanks for adding the ref on Akha tone. However, we have 4 tones (5, 3, 1 and 21), not three, so how do those correspond to what you added? As it is, the article is not consistent. — kwami (talk) 04:56, 12 June 2023 (UTC)

Hi! I am not sure where the inconsistency within the article is, as all of the places where tone is referenced say Akha has three tones. Looking at Hayashi 2018, one of the sources for the autonyms which use numbers for tones, the author states that "There are three basic tonemes: /55/, /33/, /21/." ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

All editors in good standing (not under current sanctions) are eligible, and self-nominations are welcome. Coordinators normally serve a six-month term that ends at 23:59 on 30 June. Nominations for our mid-year Election of Coordinators will open on 1 June (UTC). Drive: 46 editors signed up for our January Backlog Elimination Drive, 32 of whom claimed at least one copy-edit.
