Reporting of a suspicious sockpuppet

Hello Bbb23, I am quite suspicious of the newly created anonymous user with the name of "2001:44C8:4244:C52E:1:1:561A:1C66" their spammable edits seem similar to the user "Teddy983" and "BlueDIAMOND20s" (both Teddy983 and BlueDIAMOND20s are suspicious of being the same account which is sockpuppeting), I suggest taking a review in it. Appes900 and Pandemonium91871 may also be sockpuppets of BlueDIAMOND20s/BlueDiamond.d/Rulergood/Teddy983. Khiikiat (talk) 18:37, 24 August 2024 (UTC)

I blocked and tagged Pandemonium91871. I don't think Appes900 is a sock of BlueDIAMOND20s for a couple of reasons: (1) they edit from a different technical platform (the socks are very consistent with a particular platform) and (2) at least some of Appes900's edits are reverting the socks.--Bbb23 (talk) 19:09, 24 August 2024 (UTC)

Thanks. I've blocked the new one, but, honestly, I'm not quite sure what's going on. At first I thought it was Trimpops editing logged out, but after translating the conversation between the IPs and Trimpops on Trimpops' Talk page, I'm uncertain, but there must be some relationship between them. That must have been one hell of a lunch if it won't be digested until September 1st ;). I'm trying to clear out some of the older requests sitting at CAT:RFU and it's been a slog. I think that there are quite a few that were correctly rejected early on, but when an actual GAB-compliant appeal is made, usually after several tries, most of the regulars reviewing the log have already declined a previous appeal so they won't act on it. It's certainly easier to reject an appeal than to grant one, unfortunately. I only brought two of the ones that I think have a chance of making a second chance work.
