Oubangui-Chari → Ubangi-Shari — "Oubangui-Chari" is the French name, and "Ubangi-Shari" is more common in English. For example, Britannica and Columbia use "Ubangi-Shari", and Encarta uses "Ubangi-Chari". Also, English language searches for "ubangi-shari" and "oubangui-chari" in Google Web and Google Books show that the former spelling is somewhat more common.
