Entry fee
edit@KoA: I added mention of the entry fee because I thought this was relevant to the business model. I think it's helpful for readers to understand how income was generated. You disagree? ---Another Believer (Talk) 18:28, 29 March 2023 (UTC)
- I was honestly clearing out a lot of random details like that, menu items, etc. Do sources go into depth on how they run related to income. It would be better to make a broader statement on that if sources go into it. Otherwise, we normally don't list prices, etc. for each business article. KoA (talk) 18:31, 29 March 2023 (UTC)
- @KoA What about simply mentioning the entry fee (without a specific dollar amount)? ---Another Believer (Talk) 18:32, 29 March 2023 (UTC)
- At least in sources I was looking through, I didn't see any significant mention of what I asked for above. What do sources say?

@KoA: Here:
- https://pdx.eater.com/2015/1/6/7505291/purringtons-cat-lounge-cafe-grand-opening-january-24: "Entry costs $8 per hour, which helps cover the cost of maintaining the cats."

- https://pdx.eater.com/2015/1/30/7953435/purringtons-cat-lounge-portland-now-open: "If you're not content simply watching through the glass, you can pay the $8 entry fee and bring your food and drink from the cafe into the cat lounge if you get it to-go."

- I'm not really seeing anything standing out there in terms of business model. That's pretty standard fare fare info you'd see in a news article that wouldn't be in an encyclopedic article. The other factor is that especially since they are closed, it's not really a relevant level of detail anymore. The second source is a more appropriate level of explanatory detail. The place's thing really was: 1. pay an entry fee to sit with cats for awhile and 2. maybe order some food. The current version already covers that though since cat cafe is linked if someone isn't familiar with how they operate. KoA (talk) 18:52, 29 March 2023 (UTC)
- @KoA: OK, I won't add mention of the entry fee back to the article, but I had assumed money was generated from adoptions and food/drink purchases, not an entry fee. I'll let you and others decide what's best, thanks! ---Another Believer (Talk) 18:54, 29 March 2023 (UTC)
Also, military veterans and senior citizens received a discount. ---Another Believer (Talk) 21:00, 29 March 2023 (UTC)
Menu
edit@KoA: I disagree with this edit, which removes mention of menu items. Most restaurant entries give an overview of the menu. I think this one should as well. Here's another source with menu details. Do any other editors want to weigh in? ---Another Believer (Talk) 18:31, 29 March 2023 (UTC)
- Seems like we're getting into WP:INDISCRIMINATE territory or specifically WP:NOTCATALOG policy with that. If there was something a restaurant was specifically known for that would be something to discuss, but so far we just have general fare articles. In those cases, diving into menu details isn't really a key thing for an article. KoA (talk) 18:39, 29 March 2023 (UTC)
