Redirect from Policing in Canada
editThis is redundant with Policing in Canada and should be a redirect to there. bobanny 20:06, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

Law enforcement in Canada → Policing in Canada – I believe this page should be moved back to Policing in Canada. Law Enforcement not only include police, but other agencies like CBSA, CSC, etc. This is exactly reflected by the Template:Law enforcement agencies in Canada —Cahk (talk) 02:52, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

- Oppose. Nothing wrong with current title. Bssc81 (talk) 09:05, 4 April 2008 (UTC)

Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls
editWhere should MMIWG be included on this page? It could be put under the police services or Indigenous law enforcement category, or in a controversies category, but it might also be better referenced under Indigenous police in Canada or similar (although personally I think it's worth mentioning here considering it's a fairly significant and national issue involving Canadian law enforcement) - ReactionEquipment (talk) 23:55, 8 July 2022 (UTC)
- There's also a lot of info, including some of the RCMP reports, at Missing and murdered Indigenous women. Should we consider a small paragraph, with a hatnote to the main article? Singularity42 (talk) 20:25, 11 July 2022 (UTC)
- I think this would be ideal - I think it might be best to stick that paragraph in the lead? ReactionEquipment (talk) 20:57, 11 July 2022 (UTC)
Number of Police Officers
editThe 100,000+ officers statistic in Canada is false. According to Statistics Canada data, in 2018 there were 68,532 officers. In 2021, that number was 70,160. The writer included civilian employees (ie non-sworn civilian staff) in the 100,000+ count. But sworn officers only number about 70,160.
