Are we sure she was born in Blackwood, Yorkshire? I don't think there is such a town. I know the 1881 Wales census has Blackwood as the place of birth, but the 1871 Wales census says Blackwood Hall in Yorkshire. There is no town called Blackwood Hall, but there was an estate by that name near Selby in Yorkshire, and the page for Frances Micklethwait on Ancestry says she was born in Selby, Yorkshire.VirtualDave (talk) 11:36, 10 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
