It's inappropriate to use a succession box for the one time appearance
editSuccession boxes are used to show, as the name suggests, succession. This case does not involve Arbour taking over coaching the team or Nolan stepping down, being fired, or anything like that. Nolan performed all of the functions of the coach in this instance, and adding a box for Arbour here would only serve to break up the actual succession scheme, where Nolan follows Shaw and comes before whoever will end up replacing him. Al Arbour was officially the coach that game. A real contract was signed and the NHL chose to officially recognize it. You may not like it, but thats exactly what happened as per the NHL who has the authority in this matter regardless of your opinion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.228.53.206 (talk) 20:55, 19 November 2011 (UTC)
This page needs work
editOn reading, it seems to me that it is laden with peacock statements; I'd swear the man was campaigning for office or some such thing, so lavish are the accolades bestowed upon him throughout text. Whilst in no way denying his greatness, I believe a fairer presentation can be given here. Hushpuckena (talk) 08:19, 18 April 2010 (UTC)
Formatting
editIn the coaching grid in the playoff result, perhaps the "Won Stanley Cup" could be done in bold, or perhaps those lines could have a different color background? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.51.184.11 (talk) 20:14, 18 November 2011 (UTC)
