Don Keith (born December 12, 1947, in Springville, Alabama) is an American writer,[1][2][3] best known for his books series Hunter Killer (2003–2023) co-authored with George Wallace, of which the novel Firing Point (2011) was adapted into the film Hunter Killer (2018).[4][5] He has also authored several biographies, young adult novels, and military history books.[6][7]

Biography
editKeith was born on December 12, 1947, in Springville, Alabama. In 1970, he was a graduate of the University of Alabama with a degree in Broadcast and Film.[2][8][9]
He has been an amateur radio operator since 1969[10] and he co-owned with Sherri Brice the radio station WZEW in Mobile, Alabama from 1983 to 1986.[11][12]
Keith's first novel, The Forever Season (1995), received the Fiction of the Year award from the Alabama Library Association.[2][13]
He and his wife, Charlene, live in Indian Springs Village, Alabama.[2]
