Donald Trump describes Kamala Harris's call as 'very nice' following assassination threat
Donald Trump, a Republican presidential candidate, reported receiving a call from Democratic rival Kamala Harris days after surviving an assassination attempt at his Florida golf club. Trump shared this information during a Fox News town hall with Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders. Trump mentioned that President Joe Biden also told him about "Secret Service protection." "President Biden called me yesterday (Tuesday). He was very nice... a nice conversation. I appreciate that he called," Trump stated at the event. The White House described Harris's call as a "cordial and brief conversation" in which she expressed relief that Trump was safe. Harris confirmed during an interview in Philadelphia that she checked on Trump, saying, "I told him what I’ve said publicly, there is no place for political violence in our country."
