Veeam.Backup.AgentProvider.AgentClosedException

Good day,What caused this error?This is a hyper-V backup job for a linux vm, worked excellent for days, for 3 months now, what happened all of a sudden?I retried, same error after 20% then fail. I restarted the veeam server, now attempting backup again. It has been stuck on 20% for like 15 minutes now.Where did this come from all of a sudden and how do i fix?

Cloud GFS restore points in the calculator?

Is it possible to add GFS restore points to the sizing for Azure, AWS and GCP?  When I do a sizing for cloud workloads the only option is for daily restore points but I need to size for weekly and monthly as well. Thanks!

Folder Mangement in Veeam One Reporting Server.

​  under the reporting TAB  You have the following two report templates.  Under the saved reports lets say you created production Reports folder and you have to saved few reports on that folder.For safe side use this option go to download folder keep that file with you Why we keep this jason file with us if mistakenly delete We can import back that production Reports folder.     ​

Disaster Recovery

Our customer are running Veeam and replication to protect EXSI 10 workload .They would like request the disaster recovery plan .We know the Acronis/Azure have the backup solution just install the agent in workload and destination is to cloud .When the disaster is coming we just turn on the workload in cloud then they start charging all the necessary like EC2.In Veeam have any solution similar like Acronis/Azure ?

Immutable Days Object Storage with Cloudian

Hi, I have a question. I recently added an object storage repository (Cloudian) with an immutable retention period of 7 days. Then, I created a new backup job and pointed it to that repository, and I ran the backup. After the backup job completed, I checked the object files in Cloudian and looked at their retention period, and the result shows more than 7 days. Shouldn't it be exactly 7 days, not longer?Attached is the screenshot:Repository config for immutable days The date when the first backup started The object retention displayed in Cloudian Management The 'retain until' date should be 2024-11-14 if the retention is set to 7 days, but this is not what is happeningCan anyone explain how Veeam sets the immutable days for objects in object storage? Thanks for your answer and attention😊

Veeam Ports Finder Tool

Hi all. The EMEA SAs have recently just added a new tool to https://www.veeambp.com called the ‘Ports Finder’ (aka Ports Directory).  The idea behind the tool was to make it easier to find all the ports you need for a Veeam solution. It doesn’t provide mapping for specific hosts or any of the advanced feature that the Veeam Ports Tool provides.Currently it only has VMware and Hyper-V ports; however, that will be changing soon and will have:VMware Hyper-V AHV Enterprise Manager All Explorers Windows, Linux and Solaris Agents VBR Integration with AWS and Azure Veeam ONE O365 VDROAll the port mappings were pulled directly from their respective webpages so they are 100% accurate. Veeam Tintri Intelliflash Plugin

Working with a customer to install the Veeam Tintri Intelliflash Plugin.   We have installed plugin version 1.0.85.  Per this KB it says it supports  the following Tintri versions:Tintri IntelliFlash 3.9.2 Tintri IntelliFlash 3.10.1 or laterHere is the KB:https://www.veeam.com/kb3226The customer array is running version 4.5.1.  After installing the plugin and trying to discover their Tintri array it errors out saying you need version 3.9.2 or higher on the array.    I assuming 4.5.1 is higher than 3.9.2 so not sure why it won’t discover.Anyone else seen this and have a suggestion?Thanks…Dean

Restore data RWM Access Mode

Hello, currently Im investigate if kasten can be use for backup/restore our prod environment for shopfloor application. We use k3s 1.30.0, with longhorn storage, 7.0.13 kasten version. For location profile we use azure. Our application has 4PV with Access Mode ReadWriteMany, for this mode use storage class longhorn-nfs. Backup application works properly and im able to create snapshot and export data to azure as well. But when i want use restore from locally snapshot something is wrong. Kasten create request for scale down all pods are down its ok, pv is detached and deleted. In kasten-io namespace are automatically created 4 new pods with claim for pv which want to use for restore. But pod is still pending and when use describe for pvc i found that longhorn cannot find persistent volume. But when i use restore from external storage, restore works properly. Could you somebody explain me what is wrong or how can i affect this behavior.

How to Best Prepare for the VMCE!

Hey Community -Let’s start off the Group by sharing some of the ways you use which best helps you prepare for the VMCE.I’ll start:For me, first and foremost, I follow the VMCE Exam Guide. From there, I go through the vSphere User Guide from top to bottom….yep, you read that correctly, from top to bottom...and read through only what I call the high-level sections of it for those sections I’m least familiar with.What is a “high-level” section? They are the sections which generally start with “About <topic/section>”, for example, About Backup, or How Replication Works, etc. I then go on to the Limitations and Considerations of each section. I rarely go through the actual install/implementation steps (these are what I consider “deep-level” sections), unless I’ve never done so in my environment or lab.After I do the above, I then go through and skim through sections of the Guide I am most familiar with just for review as there are generally quite a few detailed things I’ve forgotten.L

For example, Veeam Backup & Replication 12.2 supports Veeam Plug-in 12.2 and 12.1.)i file sul repository avevano nomi human readable, tiponomedb_daily.vabdopo l’aggiornamento di VBR e Plugin alla 12.2 i nomi sono stringhe alfanumeriche tipo009324324-dsfsjhweq--…..vabsiccome, ahimè perché non si dovrebbe fare  il cliente cancella manualmente questi file per fare una retention tipo GFS manualmente (ripeto non è supportato) chiedo una cosa:qualcuno ha o ricorda di aver avuto un VBR 12.2 e Plugin 12.1?
