File:Stanley Holloway aged 10.JPG has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.
If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues. |

Modified version of one of your images: File:Snaresbrook Crown Court 1 (brightened).jpg
[edit]Hi,
Just to let you know that I left a reply to your comment at Commons:Deletion requests/File:Cassianto1.jpeg, and that- as a side effect of checking the background of that case- I noticed and uploaded a filtered version of one of your other images as File:Snaresbrook Crown Court 1 (brightened).jpg to increase the brightness.
I've left the credit to you, since it's your image and my adjustments weren't (IMHO) significant enough to be credit-worthy, but I do appreciate that the "feel" of the photo was slightly altered and you might or might not like this (it's maybe slightly more obviously "HDR-ish" than the natural look I'd originally intended to preserve). Feel free to modify the credit it you're not happy with it being presented entirely as your own work.
(The original version is still at File:Snaresbrook Crown Court 1.jpg).
All the best,

hi
[edit]@Cassianto yes, admins can give themselves privs. In that particular instance all non-admin accounts were getting blocked at Wikiconf 2015 due to what I misinterpreted as a broken private editfilter - when instead it turned out to be an autoblocked user triggering an autoblock whenever he attempted to view an image - which I ended up guessing, though four or five CU's were trying to figure it out at the same time. There was more than one unblock being discussed in that discussion as well; the reason I supported requiring him to discuss unblocks with blocking admins (or achieving consensus at AN) before performing them was in large part because in the not too distant past he had accepted a god-awful unblock request for one of my blocks, where the unblock request itself actually contained a blockable personal attack. If Wikicommons overlords finds my tool use to be similarly misguided I wouldn't at all oppose a similiar restriction, although "must consult checkusers before undoing their blocks in the future" is pretty much just reiterating policy - obviously I'd be crusin' for a bruisin' if I made the same dumb mistake again. I stand behind the blocks you quote - blocking meatpuppet swarms (like Giano Cassianto Corbett Ched Bishonen) is generally a good thing until at a bare minimum they restrict their discussion to talk pages. I'm a bit confused by your AE2 diff - I don't generally view admonishments as meaningful, and have consistently held that opinion. I was making a request that AC either do nothing to BK, or take stronger sanction if they found it appropriate - just not to admonish him. I didn't agree with your decision making by harassing Sarah, but would rather have seen that case pass with no remedy against you than with an admonishment since you get away with a lot Cas. Re: your email
[edit]Hi. The reason the administrator undid your edit was because you added the wrong template. The template you used is the one that is meant for the corresponding deletion request page rather than the file page. I have fixed this error. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 01:26, 14 July 2019 (UTC)
Also, to add one thing, the copyright tag is only for speedy deletion, which is for egregious and obvious violations. Anything which is unclear should go to a discussion. This works exactly the same as Articles for Deletion on English Wikipedia. While it is unusual for a user to remove a copyvio tag on their own image, it was ultimately choice.
