Särkänniemi is an amusement park situated in the north side of Tampere’s center. The park was opened in the early 1970s and it had an aquarium, a planetarium, a children’s zoo and an observation tower (Näsineula) 168m tall. The park has since evolved and more, bigger and faster rides were been building and are still being built. Nowadays the park is open only in summer (from May to September) and also in some special days like Halloween or students parties. In the audio teenager are screaming in the ride, pop music is played from speakers and other teens are just chatting about the rides. Recorded in 25th of May 2018 |
