Deutsch: Kommerzienrat, in Österreich der Kommerzialrat, ist ein Ehrentitel, der im Deutschen Reich vor allem bis 1919 an Persönlichkeiten der Wirtschaft verliehen wurde. Die Ehrung erfolgte erst, und zwar keineswegs automatisch, nach erheblichen „Stiftungen für das Gemeinwohl“.
English: Kommerzienrat, or Kommerzialrat in Austria, both literally translated as councillor of commerce, is an honorary title that was awarded in the German Empire until 1919 and in Austria until today, especially to business personalities. The honor was only given, and by no means automatically, after significant “donations for the public weal”.
Français : Le Kommerzienrat, ou Kommerzialrat en Autriche, qui signifie littéralement conseiller du commerce, est un titre honorifique qui était décerné dans l'Empire allemand jusqu'en 1919 et en Autriche jusqu'à aujourd'hui, en particulier aux personnalités du monde des affaires. Cet honneur n'était accordé, et en aucun cas automatiquement, qu'après des « dons importants pour le bien public ».
Español: El título honorífico de consejero de comercio (Kommerzienrat o Kommerzialrat en Austria) se otorgaba en el Imperio alemán hasta 1919 y en Austria hasta hoy, especialmente a personalidades del mundo empresarial. El honor se otorgaba únicamente, y de ninguna manera de manera automática, tras importantes “donaciones para el bien público”.
