Note: Some catalogues of scientific plant names have included Euryops abrotanifolius of De Candolle (1838), based on Othonna abrotanifolia of Linnaeus (1753), as a synonym of the new name Othonna daucifolia of Manning & Goldblatt (2010), but this is an error. The names Othonna daucifolia and Euryops abrotanifolius refer to two distinct species currently classified as members of two different genera. The synonym of the name Othonna daucifolia is a different Othonna abrotanifolia, namely the one of Druce (1917), based on Doria abrotanifolia of Harvey (1865). Hence the names Euryops abrotanifolius and Othonna daucifolia are both accepted.
