Press "PrintScreen" 5. Press Ctrl+V Then, I see the screenshot in the editor. I tested on Nightly on Win10 but on insider preview build.

I cannot reproduce with Fx50 too. And I needed to wait a minute until uploading the file to the OWA. Did you wait enough time until showing the image? Until showing the image, OWA shows dashed-line's blank box. Or, do you have something special "steps to reproduce" for reproducing the bug?

This owa 2013 is running on exchange server at my company (private exchange server), I'm not using outlook.com. If I use the Paste function nothing happens at all. It doesn't matter how long I'm waiting for any action. There is no dashed-line's blank box at all in FF 50. In earlier version there was this box but after a second I hit Ctrl+V, the screenshot appeared in the Editor. Sorry, we can't give you an access to our server. It's a policy. I'm on Windows Professional 7 x64 (6.1.7601, Service Pack 1). Firefox is the latest one, currently 50.0.2. (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:50.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/50.0) I will ask for the version of the Owa 2013.

I uninstalled 50.2 version and switch back to version 45.0.2 (/pub/firefox/releases/45.0.2/win32/, x86 version). I opened my OWA 2013, logged in with my account, and composed a new message. I was able to paste the PrtScreen with that version of Firefox. The screenshot appeared immediately in the composer window.

Version 47.0.2 is still working for me. Next recommended update is 50.0.2, currently I'm not doing this one. Do you have any suggestion I should do in this situation? Thanks.

Version 48.0.2 and version 49.0 is also OK :-)

Yes, as we can't have access to the Exchange server to test, you can install the tool mozregression to narrow down a regresion range in FF50. Run the command "mozregression --good=49" (or older) then copy here the final pushlog from the repository mozilla-inbound.

Thanks for that mozregression, it really helps out. I did some of my own testing simply looking at the web-visible changes to how image data is handled and I have some idea of what happened, but I can't think of a good fix right now. Our new behavior brings us in line with other browsers such as Chrome, and I currently believe that this problem is caused by a workaround for old versions of firefox. The big change which happened around that time, and is present in firefox today, is that support for retrieving image data from the paste event's clipboardData object was added. Previously in order to do this in firefox a contenteditable node which the image was pasted into would have to be used, and then the HTML of the selected node would need to be inspected to retrieve the image data. I imagine that the code was written under the assumption that if the UA is Firefox, they would inspect the dataTransfer to see if there was data, and if there was not they would use the contenteditable fallback. I of course can't confirm this because I don't have the code in front of me, but it seems to be the option which makes the most sense to me right now. I'm not sure of any way to make this old codepath work if it acts the way I think it does without simply reverting, which doesn't seem like a good solution at all.

In your first run, the bad build wasn't specified and mozregression selected the nightly build of the current day (which is the normal behavior), but this nightly worked fine, so maybe the bug is already fixed in Nightly (or Aurora). I installed Nightly (53.0a1 (2017-01-02) (32-bit)) and the paste operation works correctly with a previous created PrntScreen. Sorry I don't know what does e10s enabled/enabled mean, so I didn't change any option under General tab. Which stable version you recommend to me? Stable version is 50.1.0, which doesn't works for me. Nightly is 53.0a and it works well. Which next stable version will be suitable for me? Thanks fo your help.

If it's fixed in Nightly you can find a working range with Mozregression to find the patch which fixed the issue in 53 (or maybe 52). Run the command "mozregression --find-fix --bad=50".

Too late for 51 as we've already built RC. Mark 51 won't fix.

Not a recent regression, AFAIK, we don't know exactly which bug fixed it, wontfix for 52.
