Malawimonadidae je eukariotska porodica.[1][2][3]
To je skupina malih bičastih protozoa, malih životinjaa van slatke vode ili tla, površno sličnih rodu Carpediemonas, iako nisu u uskoj vezi. Imaju tipsko mitohondrijsko disanje i diskoidne grebene, dva kinetosoma, zadnji bič s ventralnom lopaticom (Malawimonas ) ili na dvije suprotne strane (Gefionella).[4]
Uključeni su u skupinu Excavata, iako njihovi odnosi sa ostatkom grupe i kladusa nisu jasni.[5] Nedavno je sugerirana veza s rodom Collodictyon[6] iako postoji bliskost sa Metamonada[7] u redefiniranoj grupi koja se zove Loukozoa.
